Twenty-four hours after the commencement of All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary elections across the country, the poll is yet to commence at Gashua, the headquarters of Jakusko/Bade Federal Constituency of Yobe State.

Supporters of the major contestants, who spent the night waiting for the arrival of the APC Electoral Panel, told Channels Television on the phone that they do not know if the election will still hold.

A supporter, who spoke on the anonymous condition, claimed that most of the expected delegates have reportedly disappeared to unknown destinations.

Efforts to speak with party officials proved abortive as their lines were not going.

As of 9.25 am on Saturday, supporters of the contestants were seen at the supposed venue of the election waiting anxiously for the arrival of the Electoral Panel.
