Aaron Judge chasing home run No. 61: Maris’ record still stands
Aaron Judge fell short of tying Roger Maris’ American League home run record of 61 on Saturday, as the New York Yankees topped the Boston Red Sox 7-5 in the third game of their four-game series.
In four plate appearances, Judge struck out twice — once looking and once swinging — flied out once to center, and registered a walk on a full count in the fifth inning.
Judge will get another shot to make history Sunday when N.Y. goes for a clean sweep against Boston at Yankee Stadium (7:08 p.m. ET).
