Blues add Scandella, lose Parayko on blue line tonight vs. Sharks

The St. Louis Blues will get one defenseman back in the lineup Thursday while losing another.

Coach Craig Berube said Thursday morning that Colton Parayko, who has been battling an unspecified injury, will not play Thursday, making that the first game he has missed this season. It is uncertain how long he’ll be out.

The alternate captain has one goal, seven assists and 12 penalty minutes in 16 games this year. He does not have a point in his last four games.

Returning to the lineup will be Marco Scandella, who missed the Blues’ last six games with an upper body injury. He has no points and 10 penalty minutes and is plus-4 in nine games this season.

Berube said defenseman Torey Krug will play after suffering an upper body injury in the Blues’ loss to Arizona on Monday.

The Blues begin a four-game homestand Thursday night against San Jose. They will host the Sharks for two games, then two with the Kings.
