Blues release schedule: opener Jan. 13 in Colorado, home opener Jan. 18 vs. Sharks

The St. Louis Blues‘ 2020-21 season will start on Jan. 13, assuming the league’s plans to start amid a pandemic pan out. And they’ll play at home for the first time five days later.

The Blues released their regular-season schedule Friday. They will play at the Colorado Avalanche on Jan. 13 and 15, then return to St. Louis for a four-game homestand, starting with games against the San Jose Sharks on Jan. 18 and 20 and then the Los Angeles Kings on Jan. 23 and 24.

Game times and the television schedule will be announced later.

The Blues were assigned to the West Division for the 56-game, geographically altered season and therefore will play only division mates Anaheim, Arizona, Colorado, Los Angeles, Minnesota, San Jose and Vegas. The schedule calls for eight games against each team. An even number of games (28) will be played on both the road and at home.

It has not been determined whether fans will be able to attend games at Enterprise Center at some point in the season.
