Brewers claim utility man Tim Lopes off waivers

The Milwaukee Brewers added utility man Tim Lopes off waivers from Seattle on Tuesday.

Lopes, a sixth-round pick by the Mariners in 2012, made his major-league debut in 2019. He appeared in 41 games that season, logging a .270/.359/.360 slash line with seven doubles, one homer and 12 RBI.

In 2020, Lopes played 46 games for Seattle and registered a .238/.278/.364 slash line with 12 doubles, two homers and 15 RBI.

The 26-year-old has started 41 games in left field, 15 contests at designated hitter, 11 games in right field, one game at second base and one game at third base.
