The Milwaukee Bucks officially announced on Thursday the acquisition of veteran point guard Jeff Teague, who played in 34 games for Boston this season.

Teague was waived over the weekend by the Orlando Magic after being shipped south as part of a deal that sent Evan Fournier to the Celtics.

The 32-year-old, who spent seven years with Atlanta, including from 2013-16 when he was coached by now-Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer, is averaging 6.9 points, 2.1 assists and 1.7 rebounds per game this season. Teague slotted into the starting lineup five times for Boston, averaging 18.1 minutes a contest.

Milwaukee recently traded backup point guard D.J. Augustin to Houston when it acquired forward P.J. Tucker.

A product of Wake Forest, Teague’s been known for his ability to score the basket in a variety of ways since entering the league via the first-round of the NBA draft in 2009.

Teague spent one season with the Indiana Pacers in 2016 — the only time in his career that he’s appeared in or started all 82 games — and has also played for the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 2014 All-Star boasts career averages of 12.3 points, 5.6 assists and 2.4 rebounds.
