Cardinals GM has Come out to Say they’re Not Trading Patrick Peterson

Patrick
Peterson is apparently not going anywhere any time soon. Steve Keim wants to
make this very clear and he also wants people to know that he is deadly
serious. The NFL is currently waiting for news regarding the Jaguars CB Jalen
Ramsey but Peterson looks to be the top guy for the Cardinals. They are not
trading Pat, said Keim. He also went on to say that he is quite possibly the best
cornerback in the NFL. He’s also an eight-time pro-bowler too. The amount that
he has contributed to the team really cannot be compared and it’s safe to say
that he has made incredible progress so far. The Cardinals might still have
interest in Ramsey, and this whole thing might be a bluff but only time will
tell.

Rumours

Rumours
have swirled regarding this topic and some people have even picked up on the
fact that Chandler Jones has restructured his contract in an attempt to create
more cap space. This would certainly indicate that some big moves are about to
happen and that even the team are willing to make sacrifices. Even then, it
doesn’t look like that is going to happen any time soon and in some instances
it’s hard to see if this is ever going to be anything more than standard
routine. Keim has stressed that this is a normal process.

The Future of the Cardinals

Sites
such as Netbet Casino have sporting odds available and if a move was to be made then
this would certainly impact the odds for the Cardinals. It may mean that they
become a much more favourable team, but at the same time it could also cause
them to lose someone that is in fact very valuable to them. The Cardinals seem to be doing very well this season
and they are showing a lot of progression in terms of team development too.
Keim has even come out to say that the team are a million dollars from their
cap and that what they are doing now isn’t actually anything that they haven’t
done before. Are people really buying it? Probably not. Even so, Keim is
stating that this is an exercise that people are doing year-in, year-out and
they are no exception. They are just trying to increase the amount of
flexibility that they have as there have been a lot of injuries so far and a
lot of these have happened in the preseason.

When
you have replacements and shocking injuries happen, you need to make sure that you
have some degree of flexibility moving forward and throughout the season in
general. It also gives you the ability to extend any players that you might
want in the future, especially if you are excited about any upcoming stars.
Keim seems pretty adamant that he is not planning on signing anyone new anytime
soon, but Peterson isn’t doing himself any favours. He has four games still to
miss because of his suspension. This came about because he violated the NFL’s
policy regarding performance-enhancing substances, but even with all of this,
the Cardinals are keen to welcome him back.
