Green Bay Packers predictions: Week 13 vs. Philadelphia

You might remember last season when Philadelphia came to Lambeau Field and beat Green Bay in a close Week 4 game 34-27.

Well, times have changed. At least for the Eagles.

Philadelphia is a far cry from the team which won the Super Bowl just three years ago. The offense, and particularly quarterback Carson Wentz, seem broken.

The 3-7-1 Eagles enter this year’s Week 13 matchup at Lambeau against the Packers having lost three straight. Philadelphia is 0-5 against teams which have a winning record on the season. Green Bay is 7-1 this season vs. teams which currently have a losing record.

It’s no wonder the Packers are a heavy favorite to win this game and, well, should be for the next couple of contests as well.

All’s fair in love and war and chasing the top seed in the NFC.

Here’s this week’s Packers predictions from around the web:

Barry Wilner of the Associated Press: Packers 26, Eagles 13

More Packers coverage from FOX Sports Wisconsin

Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times: Packers 31, Eagles 17. “The Eagles can run on this Green Bay defense and might get a big play or two. But there’s so much turmoil, and so many injuries, in Philadelphia. It’s still Aaron Rodgers, after all.”

Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com: Packers 33, Eagles 21. “The Packers are flying high right now, while the Eagles are mess. The Packers have an explosive offense that will again put up a good number against a solid Eagles defense. The Eagles won’t be able to keep up. Aaron Rodgers continues to do his thing. Packers big.”

NFL.com’s Gregg Rosenthal: Packers 30, Eagles 17. “These teams’ defenses are on similar paths these days, building toward flowery features of “resurgence” after facing soft spots in the schedule. Carson Wentz is so inaccurate — and Philly’s offense is so lost — that the opposition mostly just needs to show up.”

Will Brinson of CBSSports.com: Packers 28, Eagles 21.

John Breech of CBSSports.com: Packers 37, Eagles 27.

Vinnie Iyer of the Sporting News: Packers 27, Eagles 23. “The Eagles are coming off a short week but desperation will continue as they try to salvage a second straight NFC East title. Their success in the running game and throwing to their backs will keep them hanging around, but eventually, Aaron Rodgers will easily outduel Carson Wentz to ensure the Packers get revenge for an early 2019 loss at Lambeau Field.”

The Miami Herald’s Greg Cote: Packers 27, Eagles 20. “Can you imagine Carson Wentz and his NFL-leading 15 interceptions somehow outscoring great-as-ever Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau where the Pack is on a 10-1 run? Yeah, me neither. But Philly gets TE Zach Ertz back (that’s huge for Wentz) and has a good enough defense to stay in this and sneak in under the betting line.”

Bill Bender of the Sporting News: Packers 31, Eagles 24. “The Eagles marched into Lambeau Field and stole a 34-27 victory last season after falling behind by double digits in the first half. Chances are the Packers remember that game, and Aaron Rodgers makes sure it doesn’t happen again. Green Bay’s defense still has some trouble closing the door.”

Jonathan Jones of CBSSports.com: Packers.

Jordan Dajani of CBSSports.com: Packers 30, Eagles 21.

Philly Voice’s Jimmy Kempski: Packers.

Josh Schrock of NBC Sports Bay Area: Packers 30, Eagles 20. “The Eagles are completely lost on offense and Darius Slay might have to go into witness protection after what DK Metcalf did to him on Monday night. I’m still scarred from the Packers having a tickle fight with the Jags a few weeks ago, but they seem to be hitting their stride at the right moment and have the No. 1 seed in the NFC in their sights. Plus, I can’t side with the broken down Wentz Wagon.”

Pro Football Talk’s Michael David Smith and Mike Florio: MDS – Packers 35, Eagles 17; Florio – Packers 34, Eagles 21.

Oliver Hodgkinson of Pro Football Network: Colts 27, Packers 24. “The Green Bay Packers were nowhere near as dominant against the Jacksonville Jaguars as I was expecting, and now they face what is arguably the most complete defense in the NFL. Although the Indianapolis Colts offense lacks the potency of the Packers, there is a matchup that could give them the edge. The Packers have allowed the second-most receiving yards to the running back position in the NFL prior to Week 10, and the Colts averaged 10 yards per reception from their running backs in their Thursday Night Football win over the Titans. Nyheim Hines will be the player to watch as the Colts sneak their seventh win of the season.”

Sportsnaut’s Vincent Frank: Packers 35, Eagles 20.
