Job Title: HR / Admin Officer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Main Purpose

  • The HR / Admin Officer reports to the Legal Manager with a dotted reporting line to the Managing Director and will be responsible for providing strategic oversight and direction for the Administration and Human Resource function.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Providing counselling on policies and procedures
  • Being actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems

  • Create and implement effective on boarding plans
  • Develop training and development programs
  • Sock Taking
  • Assist in performance management processes
  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
  • Maintain historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system.

The Person

  • Male preferred (for gender balance)
  • Proven working experience as HR/Admin Officer
  • People oriented and results driven.
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
