Lynx welcome back leading scorer Odyssey Sims

The Minnesota Lynx just got a little stronger in the Wubble.

On Thursday, the Lynx activated guard Odyssey Sims, who led the team in both scoring and assists last season. To make room for Sims on the roster, forward Megan Huff was waived.

Sims, who had a child back in May, averaged 14.5 points with career-highs 5.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 2019, her first year with the Lynx after playing for Tulsa, Dallas and Los Angeles.

Following finishing a quarantine period and serving a two-game suspension, Sims will take the floor for the first time this season on Thursday, Aug. 13.

While Sims has missed time, rookie Crystal Dangerfield has been playing as the team’s lone true point guard. Dangerfield is averaging 7.9 points, 3.9 assists and 1.5 steals over her first five career contests.

Huff was signed by the Lynx on June 16 and appeared in three games this season.

The Lynx, one of three teams off to a 4-1 start, play Indiana on Friday at 5 p.m. on FOX Sports North PLUS.
