The Gophers finished off a much-needed sweep over the weekend, their first in more than a month. Minnesota knocked off No. 6 Ohio State 4-3, 4-3 thanks to a big weekend for the “BMW” line. Nathan Burke, Sammy Walker and Blake McLaughlin led the way with nine points. Burke was named the Big Ten First Star of the Week after racking up four points on the weekend, tied for the national lead. At No. 21 in the PairWise (just behind North Dakota) the Gophers’ odds of returning to the NCAA tournament aren’t great, but the wins are a much-needed step in the right direction.
