Oyinlola Congratulates Arapaja After Loss At Convention, Says PDP In Good Hands

Former Osun State Governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has congratulated the newly elected national officers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), pledging to strengthen support for the party.

He specifically congratulated a former deputy governor of Oyo State, Taofik Arapaja, whom he lost the PDP Deputy National Chairmanship (South) seat to during the party’s just-concluded national convention.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Oyinlola said he had earlier sent a private message to Arapaja to congratulate him on his victory and wish him a successful tenure.

According to him, the newly elected PDP Deputy National Chairman South acknowledged his message with appreciation.

While describing the success of the national convention of the party as a good omen for Nigeria and Nigerians, Oyinlola believes the party is in very good hands.

He also thanked the founding fathers, all party leaders, and his supporters for the strength of their support for him and their love which they radiated around him throughout the contest.

The former governor praised members of the PDP Governors Forum for holding the forte of the party, promising that he would continue to play his role as a leader and strengthen his support for the PDP and its organs.
