We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Project Engineer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are looking to engage competent and experienced Project Engineers to install, maintain and operate our large capacity sites in Nigeria.
  • He or she will work with the Head of Installation to install PV inverters, commission new equipment, and increase customer satisfaction through quality service and professional behaviour.
  • We are seeking a hardworking, motivated, and well-organized individuals with a focus on continuous improvement to exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management:

  • Develop project plan to execute sales contract.
  • Design and plan solar and related power installations.
  • Direct, coordinate and supervise solar and related power installations.
  • Lead supply chain process to order parts locally and internationally.
  • Conduct quality assurance of technical installations.
  • Identify, electrical, environmental, and safety hazards associated with PV and related power installations and proffer mitigation measures.

Sales Engineering:

  • Conduct energy audits on client’s site.
  • Lead technical client conversations through email, phone calls and in person meetings.
  • Design solar PV systems (on-grid, off grid, hybrid).
  • Support in technical sales process.

Service:

  • Performing routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance of solar and related power installations.
  • Resolve site issues remotely and through site visits.
  • Actively monitor performance of installed site and provide written report on events.

General:

  • Implement standard operating procedures and HSE standards for solar installation work.
  • Review technological trends in the local and global energy sector.
  • Develop and coach technical staff.
  • Assist in market research and identify energy projects in Ghana.

Working Conditions:

  • Approximately 30% of time shall be spent in office environments with the remaining time in the field.

Requirements
Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years work experience in Electrical Engineering roles and managing large scale and industrial projects in the solar industry (preferred) or power industry.

Professional Membership:

  • Preferably a professional engineer with NSE, COREN and engineering certifications

Language Proficiency:

  • English.

  • Proven leadership experience
  • Self-motivated and demonstrate a sense of ownership with high level of commitment and the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Good communication skills and ability to lead and work well in teams.
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands, passion for renewable energy.
  • Attention to details and extraordinary oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to adapt, learn and grow with the company.
  • High level of integrity
  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in a group.

Other Requirements:

  • PMP Certification is a plus.
  • HSE certification is an advantage.
  • Flexible to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) – report writing and analysis.
