Return of Soler Power: Royals activate DH, option Gutierrez
Soler Power is back in Kansas City.
The Royals reinstated DH/outfielder Jorge Soler, who has been out since Sept. 5 with a right oblique strain, from the injured list Monday.
Soler was batting .235 with eight home runs, 22 RBIs and a .787 OPS at the time of his injury.
In a corresponding move, infielder Kelvin Gutierrez was optioned to the team’s alternate training site. Gutierrez has one hit in nine at-bats this season.
