Suspected Cultists Kill Two Corps Members In Bayelsa – Channels Television
Tragedy struck in Yenagoa the Bayelsa State capital when two corps members were shot dead by some suspected cultist.
The incident occurred on Wednesday the cultists stormed the corper’s lodge along the School road at the Swali area of the state capital.
During the attack, another corps member was critically injured.
One of the dead corps member identified as Popoola Olamide, was a graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and an indigene of Oyo State.
The other dead corps member who is yet to be identified was reported to have struggled with the killers before he was shot and died on his way to the hospital.

Narrating the incident to Channels Television, a neighbour of the deceased who pleaded anonymity said that the suspected cultists, numbering six, arrived at their residence at about 10:30 pm.
“We heard gunshot from the direction of the Corps members’ room. One of the attacked corps members was shouting ‘Jesus’ repeatedly and asking what was their crime. Another shot sounded and he was silenced,” he said.
The eyewitness described the deceased corps members as “quiet and easy-going individuals,” stressing further that “they hardly keep late night and only take fresh air by their door when there is a power outage.”
Channels Television gathered that the victims were attached to a private school close to their residence and were marking examination scripts when the hoodlums attacked them.
