Job Title: Technical Assistant to the GCOO

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Provide professional support to the GCOO on strategic, operational, secretarial/administrative matters.
  • Develop the GCOO’s presentation, business plans, report, proposals, general correspondence, and other related documents into a clear, concise, and descriptive format using charts, tables, graphs, and other acceptable designs.
  • Perform periodic qualitative and quantitative research and high-level consultative activities across new and emerging markets.
  • Condense large amounts of information into an easy-to-understand and comprehensible format for management consumption.
  • Provide business insights using statistical, economic, and data modeling techniques and tools to support intelligent business decision-making.
  • Make a presentation to relevant parties on data findings, illustrating the impact of analyzed data on business performance.
  • Prepare concise weekly reports and updates on ongoing projects as well as other activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions, and trends and enable decision-makers to draw conclusions on potential issues and opportunities.
  • Support with the first-level review of all technical documents and provide high-level summaries to the GCOO.
  • Carry out research, technical studies, projects analysis, business cycles, patterns, and trends using relevant research methods and making relevant recommendations.
  • Conduct and present competitive analysis and market research for different business trends and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize quick decision-making processes for the GCOO.
  • Attend meetings, transcribes, and distributes minutes from meetings for actionable plans and follow-up for timely resolution.
  • Organize Monthly Management Review Meetings on behalf of the GCOO and the management team.
  • Collaborate with relevant parties to ensure delivery of assigned tasks or activities.
  • Derive insights from multiple sources in developing comprehensive and detailed reports that is suitable to the various target audience.
  • Develop strategic initiatives leveraging research work performed providing actionable and clear plans for the business.
  • Ensure that the GCOO’s program and activities are fully coordinated and aligned and ensure optimal utilization of the GCOO’s time and resources.
  • Provide input to strategy formulation/research projects, technical reports, project planning, etc.
  • Develop an effective document management system, ensuring all important business documents are filed appropriately.
  • Liaise with the Admin team to coordinate and arrange travel plans and appointments for the GCOO.
  • Receive, screen, and respond promptly to all incoming emails, inquiries and requests while ensuring all correspondence are treated and responded to swiftly.

Qualification and Experience

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 3 – 5 years work experience.
