Rawlings announced Thursday that Twins center fielder Byron Buxton and right-handed pitcher Kenta Maeda were both named 2020 Gold Glove award finalists at their positions.

Buxton, who won the Gold Glove award in 2017, will go up against Oakland’s Ramon Laureano and Chicago rookie Luis Robert. Tampa Bay’s Kevin Kiermaier won the Gold Glove in center field last year, and Boston’s Jackie Bradley Jr. won it in 2018.

Along with Maeda, the other two AL candidates at pitcher are Los Angeles’ Griffin Canning and Cleveland’s Zach Plesac.

The winners at each position will be officially announced Nov. 3.
