The Twins announced the move Friday.

Hamilton, an 11th-round pick by the Chicago in 2016, spent five years in the White Sox organization and made his MLB debut Aug. 31, 2018.

Hamilton appeared in 10 games for Chicago in 2018 and another four in 2020. He allowed 10 hits and six earned runs in 12 innings, logging a 4.50 ERA and 6.8 K/9.

The White Sox designated Hamilton for assignment Sept. 18. He was picked up by Seattle but never appeared in a game for the Mariners. Philadelphia placed him on waivers Dec. 7 before designated him for assignment Jan. 29.

The Twins 40-man roster now stands at 39 players.
