Robles has spent time with the New York Mets and the Los Angeles Angels over his six-year MLB career. In 126 appearances (125 2/3 innings) with Los Angeles from 2018-20, Robles tallied a 3.65 ERA, 9.4 K/9 and 1.194 WHIP.

He was the Angels’ primary closer in 2019, logging a career-high 23 saves and a 2.48 ERA in 71 games. In the shortened 2020 season, Robles allowed 20 runs in 16 2/3 innings and tallied 20 strikeouts compared to 10 walks.

Robles will join right-hander Tyler Duffey and left-hander Taylor Rogers as the main pieces in Minnesota’s bullpen. Trevor May and Matt Wisler signed elsewhere, while veteran Sergio Romo remains a free agent.
