Bally Sports North announces 2021 Twins broadcast schedule

MINNEAPOLIS – Bally Sports North (rebranding from FOX Sports North), home of the Minnesota Twins, announced a 156-game telecast schedule Wednesday for the 2021 Major League Baseball regular season. All games not airing exclusively on a national platform will air on the all-new Bally Sports North regional network starting with Opening Day coverage April 1 at 12:30 p.m. vs. the Milwaukee Brewers.

The regional sports network will also televise the team’s Target Field home opener vs. Seattle on April 8, starting at 2 p.m. with a special one-hour edition of “Twins Live.”

Emmy Award-winning play-by-play announcer Dick Bremer enters his 38th season in the booth in 2021. He’ll be joined by lead analyst Justin Morneau, 1987 Twins World Series champion Roy Smalley and former Twins standout LaTroy Hawkins, who returns to the booth after spending the 2020 season assisting the team’s coaching staff. Marney Gellner and Audra Martin return as Twins sideline reporters.

The network will continue to deliver “Twins Live” pre and postgame coverage, providing fans with unmatched access to the team with interviews, extended analysis, unique features and more. Hosted by Anthony LaPanta and Annie Sabo, “Twins Live” will feature analysis from former players Tim Laudner and Glen Perkins.

Fans can also prepare for the 2021 season by tuning in to “Twins Season Preview,which premieres at 11:30 a.m. on March 24, prior to the Twins’ spring training game.

Complementing Opening Day coverage on April 1 – and marking a new era of regional sports – “Bally Sports Big Opening Day” will leverage the Bally Sports regional networks to offer fans across the country for the first-time ever with a live, whip-around style MLB Opening Day broadcast complete with expert analysis, interviews and more. In coordination with Sinclair-owned sister sports platforms, including Tennis Channel and Stadium, the 2.5 hour special will also feature NHL, NBA, and pro tennis updates and highlights. Leading off at 10 a.m., “Bally Sports Big Opening Day” will originate from Stadium’s studio in Chicago and air across all 19 Bally Sports regional networks, including Bally Sports North.
